Garage Band Lesson Plan
When it is out turn to teach the class about garage band, I first want to introduce what exactly garage band is. Garageband is a type of loop based sequencing software that comes with 1000 pre recorded sampled and sequences loops. It is available on all Macs. I want to have an in class project of making a short beat (up to a minute?) I also want to try to explain all the ways you can record voice and the different instruments and styles you can use. I plan on showing songs from artists that use garage band frequently…John Mayer for instance helped in the creation of Garageband and does a lot with loops using Garageband. There are excellent introductions to Garageband on youtube that I plan to show as well.
